The 2017 edition of the Tour of Britain, British Cycling’s premier road cycling event and this country’s largest free to spectate sporting event will take place from Sunday 3 to Sunday 10 September.

The dates were announced with the publication of the UCI’s global calendar for 2017 at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Further details of the route and stages for next year’s Tour of Britain will be announced in early 2017.  This year’s Tour of Britain, which culminated in central London on Sunday 11 September, was won by Britain’s Steve Cummings, riding for Team Dimension Data, who became only the second British rider to win his national Tour since 2004.

The Tour of Britain is British Cycling’s premier road cycling event, giving cycling fans the opportunity to see the world’s best teams and riders competing on their door step.
