Southwell will begin its preparations for the OVO Energy Tour of Britain on Saturday 19 August, as the town gears up its promotion of Stage Four, which will race through the town on Wednesday 6 September.

As well as the Stage Four promotion there’ll be the chance to have you bikes security marked by Nottinghamshire Police.

Race day will be a chance for fans to spend time in Southwell’s historic centre, as well as watching the world’s top cyclists as close quarters.

SouthwellOn the Burgage there will be a giant screen so fans can follow the race throughout the stage, while cafes, pubs and restaurants will be welcoming people for lunch and refreshments.

The Southwell community will also be out in force decorating the town to celebrate the arrival of Britain’s biggest professional cycle race From scarecrows designed by

Westhorpe residents, bunting, numerous yellow bicycles and a ‘Best Dressed Window’ display amongst Southwell’s shops. Come and see their creative designs! Visitors will also be helped by volunteers to maximise your enjoyment of the event!
