The OVO Energy Tour of Britain has been announced as one of the finalists in the National Outdoor Events Association annual awards, which take place in Bath during November.

Britain’s national Tour has been shortlisted as finalist in the Sporting Event of the Year category, the award which the race claimed for the first time in 2016.

Also up for an award in November will be the OVO Energy Women’s Tour, which has been shortlisted as a finalist in the PR Campaign of the Year Award category, following the success of the fourth edition of the event in June, which included the Breast Cancer Care Pink Ribbon Tour.

The National Outdoor Events Association annual awards take place alongside the annual convention on Wednesday 22 November at the Roman Baths and Pump Room in Bath

Alistair Turner, head judge and managing director of Eight PR & Marketing, said: “The quality of entry has been greatly improved on previous years and some amazing events have applied. The strength of entries was excellent and seeing some events come back shows commitment to the awards.

“It is a huge achievement for those shortlisted today and we look forward to seeing who is named as winners in November.”
