The Cumbrian town of Ulverston is gearing up for the OVO Energy Tour of Britain’s visit in September by paying homage to 12 of the greatest riders to hail from England, Scotland and Wales.

Wall Art installations – featuring Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome, both of whom are set to ride the 2018 race – are now on display around the town, all of which promote the Tour’s visit and celebrate the achievements of each individual rider.

The project is the work of independent homeware, gifts and art retailer The Northern Line, who have stores in Ulverston and Windermere. As part of the celebration welcoming the race, Ulverston Town Council – via investment from Ulverston BID (Business Investment District) – commissioned them to produce the series.

Stage Six of this year’s race passes through the town on Friday 7 September; the day’s first Eisberg Sprint takes place on Well Lane at approximately 11:40.
