Hi all - it's been a while since my last post. And for good reason! Have been travelling around the UK meeting with all the local partners for The Tour and even managed to get a day out in the saddle with Dean Downing (brother of Tour of Ireland winner, Russel).

Well this past week we've all been at the Race HQ in Hull getting ourselves ready for the best Tour of Britain the country (and the world) has ever seen. Today also saw the pre-race press conference take place. Both Russel Downing (CandiTV - Marshalls Pasta) and former Tour de France stage winner and Rabobank Directeur Sportif Erik Dekker were there to talk to the media.

And speaking of the media, this year's Tour has the highest number of media accreditations yet. The Likes of Sky News, the BBC (TV, Radio and online), ITV, Reuters, Press Association and many more. For one week, The Tour will dominate the news. Well, that's what we're hping for :-)

Anyway, time to go and pack the bags. Stage one is only a few hours away.
