21/10/2009 – As we prepare for 2010

If there is one word you could use to describe this year's Tour of Britain, it would have to be "fantastic"! That's exactly how you could describe the racing, the organisation of the race and the spectacular crowds that came to support the riders everyday. And having met with a few of The Tour partners since the race came to an end, I can say that they agree with me on this.

I have to say that The Tour organisational team have not taken any rest since the race came to an end and work on the 2010 event has already started. For example, discussions are underway with new and existing sponsors, and the PR & marketing plans for each stage are already being developed. This just shows the level of commitment from the team to put on the UK's bigest free to attend sporting event, as welll as to establish the event as one of the top 10 stage races in the world.

While I'm talking about it, if there are any organisations that would like to get involved with The Tour, make sure to contact Alastair Grant for more information. If you want to be a part of this new journey The Tour is embarking on, then the time is now!

Something else to draw your attention to - as the Tour embarks on its journey for 2010, The Tour organisational team is looking for an office/administration manager to help them with preparations. Details for this role can be found on the Bike Biz website. So if you are interested or know someone that is, please make sure you look through the details and send your CV in to the email address provided. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

Until next time! Ciao!
