19/01/2010 – 2010's Looking Good!
Happy new year everyone!
In my last blog post I commented about The Tour team not taking any rest and cracking on with developments for this year's Tour. Well, taking a look back at what has been acheived so far, all I can say is that 2010 is looking good!
The venues for all eight stages are almost completed and the sponsors are coming on board. In addition to this, teams are already expressing an interest to get involved with the race which can only be seen as a good sign for the event.
Also, I thought I'd mention that I had a meeting with the our web company, Positive New Media, this morning and they have some great ideas for taking your user experience of our website a step further. I'll make sure to alert you to the changes once they come into affect here on the site.
To add to all the work we've been busy with, you may or may not have seen that early last week we announced The Prostate Cancer Charity Tour Rides. For all the newcomers, this ride allows cyclists of all levels the opportunity to measure themselves against the pro riders from The Tour of Britain, by taking on the same full stages from Britain's national cycle tour event.
So, if you'd like to spend a day out on the bike experiencing what life as a pro taking part in The Tour of Britain is like, then make sure to sign up for the event as soon as possible.
Plus, The Tour Series is progressing well and more news on the teams and the final list venues should be made very soon. Be aware that The Tour Series website is also undergoing some updates so not all the content is visible. But time is on our side and this will be rectified soon.
Until next time!
