Volunteer at The Tour of Britain

26.07.2010

With just over seven weeks until The Tour of Britain, you can be involved in the country's biggest professional cycle race.

Have you ever wanted to work on the country’s premier cycle race, The Tour of Britain, but never known how?! Well, now’s your chance!

The Tour of Britain is looking for volunteers to help out with a variety of roles at stage starts and finishes as well as en route at King of the Mountains and Sprint locations.

Whether it is marshalling crossing points, dealing with enquiries from spectators or helping to marshal team parking, there are a variety of opportunities available at The Tour, plus the opportunity to win a signed jersey and hospitality at the 2011 Tour of Britain.

The Tour of Britain is currently looking for volunteers at each stage location, so whether you live in England’s North West, South Wales, East Anglia or many other locations that The Tour passes through, then there is an opportunity for you.

In addition to getting close to the action and playing your part in the country’s biggest cycle race, all volunteers will receive a Tour of Britain Goody Bag on completion of their duties, while every volunteer will also go into a prize draw to win VIP Hospitality at a venue of your choosing during the 2011 Tour of Britain and a signed Tour of Britain leader’s jersey.

So if you’d like to really be in on the action for a day of The Tour of Britain get signing up and we will look forward to seeing you in September. And please remember to encourage any friends and family who may also be interested to come along as well!

The Tour of Britain is proud to be partnered with The Prostate Cancer Charity. Don’t forget this September your chance to follow in the wheel tracks of the professionals and ride three stages from The Tour of Britain. Go to www.tourride.co.uk to find out more!
