AN Post Sean Kelly Cycling Team

The joint Irish and Belgian squad bears the name of Irish cycling legend Sean Kelly, whose cycling academy backs the team.

Belgian and Irish riders dominate the roster, led by Niko Eeckhout a former Belgian Road Race Champion and Classics specialist. A host of impressive Irish youngsters are led by Sam Bennett, the current Irish Under-23 Champion, who spent the tail end of 2010 riding as a stagiare for the famous Française des Jeux squad. Mark Cassidy is a double stage winner in the Ras in Ireland, while Philip Lavery is one to watch, having impressed in Halfords Tour Series and Premier Calendar appearances in the UK, as well as taking a Bronze medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

AN Post's most impressive results so far in 2011 have come through Lithuanian Gediminas Bagdonas, who won both the overall at the Ronde de l'Oise and the AN Post Ras stage races, plus three stages along the way.

Home interest is added by Brits Mark McNally and Andrew Fenn. McNally joined AN Post in 2010 and could ride his third Tour of Britain, while Fenn would be making his debut in Britain's biggest professional cycle race.

The 21-year-old from Hertfordshire has already taken wins at the Tour de Bretagne and the one-day Memorial Philippe Van Coningsloo in Belgium, but his biggest victory remains the 2008 Junior Paris Roubaix.
