Team Europcar

Europcar are another of the 2011 Tour of Britain debutants, with cycling fans in the UK already familiar with the team’s green jerseys after an impressive Tour de France which saw Thomas Voeckler lead the race for several stages before finishing fourth overall.

Also impressing alongside fan favourite Voeckler was Pierre Rolland, who finished just outside the top ten and continually climbed with the favourites.

A number of solid riders back up the two stars, including 2010 Tour de France King of the Mountains Anthony Charteau, French National Time Trial Champion Christophe Kern and sprinter Sebastien Chavanel.

So far in 2011 Europcar have taken wins in Paris Nice, the Tour de France, the Four Days of Dunkirk and the Route du Sud, amongst many others.

Europcar boast an all-French line-up other than Canadian David Veilleux and Japanese rider Yukiya Arashiro, who in 2010 became one of the first Japanese riders to ride the Tour de France.
