Rabobank

Rabobank return for their second Tour of Britain, and will be hoping to emulate their 2009 debut when they took a stage win and led the race through Kai Reus.

Founded in 1984 as Kwantum, Rabobank have been a long established name in the professional peloton, with some of the sport’s most famous cyclists such as Jan Raas, Steven Rooks, Michael Boogerd and Erik Dekker having ridden for the team.

The team have riders for all types of races, from climbers like Robert Gesink to sprinters like Under-23 World Champion Michael Matthews and Theo Bos, classics riders like Matti Breschel and time trialists like Stef Clement, Sebastian Langeveld and short time trial specialist Lars Boom, who has taken wins against the clock in Qatar and the Criterium du Dauphine in 2011.

While the team retains a solid Dutch base, in part thanks to their Continental level development squad, Rabobank also have riders from Belgium, Spain, Denmark, Germany and Australia.
