With 2014 Tour of Britain leader Alex Dowsett taking on the Hour Record this weekend and 2013 race winner Sir Bradley Wiggins aiming for the record next month, we caught up with former holder Chris Boardman for his views.

Speaking at Aviva's launch of their sponsorship of the men's Tour of Britain and Women's Tour races, Chris, who broke the hour record three times, was in much demand by the media for his views on the recent rise in profile of the record.

Speaking to Brendan Gallagher in the below video, Boardman talks about the courage required to take on the Hour and how new interest has refreshed the record.
