Saint Piran, Cornwall’s first elite cycling team, will make their third Tour of Britain appearance in 2023.

Their roster was bolstered for this year by the arrival of Charlie Tanfield, a world and commonwealth champion on the track. Devonian Will Tidball, who placed fifth overall in the Tour du Loir et Cher five-day stage race in France in mid-April, is also in his first season with the team.

Alex Richardson joined Saint Piran midway through 2022, shortly after being pipped to the British road race title by cycling legend Mark Cavendish. He then came close to a historic victory on day three of last year’s Tour of Britain in Sunderland.
