Visitors to the Cycle Show at Birmingham’s NEC this weekend have the chance to stand on the Friends Life Tour of Britain podium.

Taking centre stage, beneath the big screen showing the World Championships action, will be a recreation of the Friends Life Tour of Britain podium, giving fans the chance to stand where the likes of Sir Bradley Wiggins and Dylan Van Baarle have stood in recent years.

In addition to showing race coverage from Saturday and Sunday’s World Championships, the big screen will also be showing some Friends Life Tour of Britain 2014 highlights, while Tour partners Ordnance Survey will also be present on the World Champs Stand.

And if you head over to Stand D63 in Hall 12, you can sign-up for the Friends Life Tour Ride 100 sportive, which takes place on Sunday 5 October and is the official sportive of Mark Cavendish. Everyone who enters at the show will receive a free goody bag, and go into a daily prize draw.

You can also find our Official Clothing Partners Dare2b on stand M72 in Hall 11, not far from the World Champs Stage, where you can buy official jerseys and merchandise from the Friends Life Tour of Britain, including the Friends Life Yellow Jersey won by Dylan Van Baarle.

And if you’re looking out for a celebrity or two, check out the Boardman Bikes stand (D11) on Friday, when Friends Life ambassador Chris Boardman will be appearing, while among the top professionals appearing at the show will be recently retired World Hour record holder Jens Voigt (Sunday) and Ivan Basso (Thursday and Friday), while Sunday will also see ITV’s Friends Life Tour of Britain coverage presenter Ned Boulting at the show.
