To mark the OVO Energy Tour of Britain coming through Kirkby Stephen and the Eden Valley on Tuesday 10 September, Kirkby Stephen Community Arts presents Spoke – a three-day celebration of free arts activities.

The highlight of the celebration is CHEER! a short dance piece commissioned by Kirkby Stephen Community Arts for SPOKE, created by Sian Williams.

CHEER! will be performed by James Aiden Kay and members of the community will premiere on Tuesday 10 September at 13:00 in the Market Square just before the race zooms through town during stage four en route to Kendal.

Members of the public can get involved by joining a fee workshop during a family day on Sunday 8 September at Kirkby Stephen Sports & Social Club. CHEER! Movement & theatre sessions with dancer James Aiden Kay and director Bobby Brook are taking place at 10:00, 13:00 and 14:00.
