Saint Piran rider Adam Lewis dropped into Mansfield’s Summer Festival last week to mark two weeks to go until the Nottinghamshire stage of the AJ Bell Tour of Britain.

Lewis (27), who joined Saint Piran earlier this summer, visited the Mansfield Summer Festival at Carr Lane Park, alongside race mascot ToBi.

The AJ Bell Tour of Britain returns to Nottinghamshire for the first time since 2018 on Thursday 8 September for stage five, which takes place between West Bridgford and Mansfield

Lewis was joined by Executive Mayor of Mansfield Andy Abrahams and CEO of Mansfield District Council Adam Hill at the event, at which local children had the opportunity to decorate bikes for display at the race and to take part in skills and BMX sessions on the Warsop BMX track.

While Saint Piran are preparing for their second AJ Bell Tour of Britain, Lewis, who has spent most of his career racing in France and Belgium, is hoping to be making his debut in Britain’s national tour.

Over 100 of the world’s best riders will tackle a 186.8km (116.2m) stage that begins in the heart of West Bridgford (10:45am) and culminates in Mansfield (approximately 3pm) on Thursday 8 September.

The route will pass through Ruddington, East Leake, Radcliffe-on-Trent, Ravenshead, Southwell, Retford, Worksop, Edwinstowe and Warsop. Click here for more details.
