Schools across this September’s OVO Energy Tour of Britain are being encouraged to get involved in Britain’s biggest and most prestigious bike race when it comes through their area.

Each year tens of thousands of school children line the route for the OVO Energy Tour of Britain to cheer on the world’s best riders, who in turn inspire youngsters the length and breadth of Great Britain to lead an active and healthy lifestyle – be it on two wheels or not.

With just a couple of weeks before schools break up for the summer holidays, now is the perfect time for schools to sign up to receive the OVO Energy Tour of Britain school’s information pack, if they haven’t done so already.

The pack provides schools with all of the information needed to get involved and ready for the race coming to their local area.

You can find more details on our dedicated schools page here of how to receive a pack, and more useful information for schools about how to watch the OVO Energy Tour of Britain.

There is also more information and links to British Cycling’s programmes for kids, including their HSBC UK Ready Set Ride campaign for children aged 18 months to eight years, created by British Cycling together with the Youth Sport Trust and of course the HSBC UK Go-Ride cycle skills coaching, which is perfect for providing support in getting active and riding confidently.
