A potentially-decisive day of racing begins on Duke Street at 11:00, although festivities will get underway in Barrow hours before the world-class field departs.

People travelling to the start in Barrow should consider:

Rail: Barrow-in-Furness railway station is on the Furness, Cumbrian Coast, and Manchester Airport lines, and is situated just a 10-minute walk away from stage start location.

Bus: Full details of bus routes to and from Barrow, alongside timetables, can be found at cumbria.gov.uk/buses/barrow.

Road: From the M6, leave at junction 36 and follow the A590 into Barrow.

Car parking: There are a number of car parks within the town of Barrow.  Further details and a map showing their locations and number of spaces can be found here.

Please note that Market Street and Town Hall Courtyard car parks will be unavailable on the day as they will be used by race teams and will be affected by road closures.

Portland Walk Car Park is only accessible daily between 07:00 and 18:30.

For the day of the race there will be no charge for parking in the borough council’s car parks.

Owing to the start location of Stage Six, a full road closure will be in operation on:

Duke Street: from 05:00 until 13:30.

A full programme of events will run on the day of Stage Six in Barrow, starting at 09:00.

Fan Zone (end of Dalton Road/Town Centre): Watch the riders on the big screen and take part in the virtual Spin Off Challenge. Free to attend, open to all. All day from 09:00.

Ready, Steady, GO! (Town Hall): Children on adapted bikes will start Stage Six of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain. From 09:00.

YDon’tU (The Forum, Duke Street): Discover all the clubs and activities on offer for children and teenagers in and around Barrow! Free to attend, open to all. From 11:00 to 15:00.
