The final list of participating teams for the 2018 OVO Energy Tour of Britain will be confirmed week commencing Monday 16 July.

Four places will be awarded to the leading British and Irish-registered UCI-ranked teams (Canyon Eisberg, Holdsworth Pro Cycling, JLT Condor, Madison Genesis, ONE Pro Cycling, Team WIGGINS and Vitus Pro Cycling) at the end of a qualification process comprising nine British races between April and July.

This process was introduced after the 2015 Tour of Britain; national governing body British Cycling and race organiser SweetSpot felt that a qualification criteria was the fairest way to make this selection, which at the same time encourages the competing teams to support the domestic racing calendar.

Following the culmination of the OVO Energy Tour Series on 31 May, the sixth event on qualification schedule, the four best-performing teams are JLT Condor, ONE Pro Cycling, Madison Genesis and Canyon Eisberg.
